Privacy

Small games. Small data footprint.

We use one random first-party HttpOnly cookie, hj_browser, for 31 days to limit repeat click counting. Its expiry is fixed, not extended on each visit. It is not used for advertising.

Per-game hashes become eligible for deletion 24 hours after a counted click. Anonymous request-limit hashes expire logically after one minute. Expiry does not mean immediate physical deletion: eligible records are removed on the next counting/rankings request or scheduled hourly cleanup. While the server and cleanup run normally, removal can therefore take up to one additional hour. Server outages or failed cleanup can delay removal until service resumes.

Click timestamps without browser identifiers become eligible for deletion after 31 days under the same cleanup schedule; anonymous game totals are kept for all-time rankings. We do not automatically collect raw IP addresses, user-agent strings, referrer URLs, email addresses or raw cookie tokens. Request text is user-provided and may contain personal information; please do not include it. HopJelly does not use fingerprinting or third-party analytics for its own site features. External game providers have separate practices.

Hosting providers may process connection data. HopJelly does not log request bodies. Cloudflare may process connection and security data under its own policies.

You can remove the cookie in your browser settings. Short-lived hashes expire automatically. Aggregated counts cannot be linked back to your cookie. External game websites have their own privacy practices.

Optional embedded games

Choosing Load game for Reversi connects your browser to Playpager. Playpager and its service providers may process connection data and use cookies or other browser storage under their own policies. This connection is not made by the game iframe before you choose Load game. See Playpager terms and privacy. Its policy says its services are not directed to children under 13; this is a provider policy notice, not a HopJelly age rating.

Private requests

Request category, linked game/URL, text, observation date and submission time are stored privately in our database. No contact field or upload is requested. Reports are not published or sent externally. The existing browser cookie is hashed separately for request limits: five accepted requests per 24 hours; the same category and game/URL once per 24 hours, or once per 30 days for ad reports. This does not identify unique people and can be bypassed by clearing cookies.

Request-limit hashes expire after 24 hours; report browser hashes are cleared after 30 days on a request or hourly cleanup. Outages can delay cleanup. Request content becomes eligible for automatic deletion after 90 days, on the next request or hourly cleanup. Outages can delay physical deletion. Existing records receive a 90-day grace period from October 26, 2026. Review is restricted to the operator through the existing private Cloudflare account; no public report-reading API is provided.

Only aggregate ad-report counts and latest reported observation dates may appear after the initial threshold of three browser-deduplicated reports in 30 days. They are unverified observations, not proof that ads are present or absent.

Likes, accounts, public comments and site advertising are not enabled.
